Terms of service

1. About these terms

doc2json (doc2json.manoonlabs.com) is run by Thakee Nathees, an individual based in Sri Lanka, under the name ManoonLabs ("we", "us"). These terms cover the doc2json web app, REST API and MCP server. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them.

2. The service

doc2json turns PDFs and images into structured JSON using AI models. You can use it in the web app, through the REST API, or through the MCP server. We may add, change or remove features over time.

3. Accounts and workspaces

You need an account for most features. Give a real email address, keep your sign-in details safe, and tell us if you think someone else has access to your account.

You are responsible for activity in your account and in workspaces you own, including activity by members you invite and by your API keys.

4. Plans and credits

There is a Free plan and paid plans. The pricing page lists what each plan includes and costs. Each plan covers one workspace.

Parsing uses credits. 1 credit is 1 page: an image is 1 page and a PDF costs its page count. Credits are taken only when an extraction succeeds. Monthly credits are shared by the whole workspace, expire at renewal, and have no cash value.

5. Payments and billing

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle handles payment, tax, invoices and receipts, and payment related customer service and returns. Paddle's buyer terms also apply to your purchase.

doc2json is sold by ManoonLabs. Paddle is the merchant of record and processes every charge. ManoonLabs does not store the card number.

• A paid subscription renews automatically each month until it is canceled. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid for. The workspace keeps that plan, and any credits left in the period, until that date, and then moves to Free.
• Paddle retains the payment method until the subscription has ended. The card cannot be removed while the subscription is active, past due, or paused, including after a cancellation that has not yet reached the end of the period. The card may be replaced at any time from the Plan page.
• An upgrade between paid plans takes effect on the day it is confirmed. The renewal date does not move, and Paddle charges the prorated difference that day. A downgrade takes effect at the end of the current period. The workspace keeps the current plan and any credits left until then. No charge or credit is made when the downgrade is scheduled.
• Prices are listed in US dollars and exclude tax. Paddle calculates and collects any tax that applies.
• The monthly credits are shared by every member, API key, and client in the workspace. Unused credits expire at renewal. Schemas, API keys, and members are kept when the plan changes.

Refunds are covered by our refund policy. A refund must be requested within 14 days of a purchase or renewal. It is in full if less than 10% of that period's credits were used, and otherwise covers the unused share of credits.

6. API keys

API keys give access to your workspace and spend its credits. Keep them secret. If a key leaks, revoke it in the console. Parses made with your keys count as your usage.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• upload documents you do not have the right to process, or content that is illegal
• use the service to break the law or to violate the privacy or rights of others
• try to get around credit, rate, file size or guest limits
• probe, overload, disrupt or bypass the security of the service
• upload malware or anything designed to harm the service or its users
• copy, resell or reverse engineer the service, except where the law allows it

8. Your content

You keep all rights to the documents you upload and the JSON you get back. You give us a limited licence to process them only to run the service, which includes sending them to the AI model providers named in our privacy policy.

We do not keep uploaded documents or extracted results after a request finishes. Schemas you save are kept until you delete them.

9. AI output and warranty

Extraction is done by AI models and can be wrong or incomplete. Check the output before you rely on it, especially for financial, legal or other important decisions.

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost profits, revenue or data.

Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Suspension and termination

You can stop using the service at any time and cancel a paid plan from the Plan page.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts the service or other users at risk, or has unpaid charges. Where it is reasonable, we will tell you first.

If we shut down the service, we will give notice and refund any prepaid period you have not used.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The new version will be posted here with a new effective date. For important changes, we will tell you by email or in the app. Using the service after a change means you accept it.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka, and the courts of Sri Lanka handle any dispute. This does not remove any consumer protection you have under the law where you live.
